Black Planet and Its Impact on Black People
By 2004, Black Planet had the highest traffic of any Black oriented site on the internet. A lot of older Black people I grew up following on Twitter and Tumblr mentioned Black Planet with like nostalgic reverence as this kind of formative space for what social media could be.
