The US Foreign Policy of Encircling Russia and China

I think that the American foreign policy of trying to encircle Russia and also China has some limits where these countries simply will say, this is as far as you go a no further. The Crimea is basically Russian, has always been Russian, they have the most important navy port there for the navy, and the Black Sea fleet is stationed there. Through the Black Sea they have access to the Mediterranean, which is very important if they are conflicts. And strategically, Ukraine is important and if it were part of NATO, Russia would have NATO in front of its door. So we have to understand it in this context, and I think the Western powers will do precisely nothing.
