If we'd visited the Americas in 1500, what kind of civilizations or communities might we have encountered? The Aztecs and Inca are very wealthy, very organized societies. But they are ones that, of course, have certain issues like they don't have gunpowder,. They don't have horses around cavalry, which is where the Spanish bring. So despite the sophistication of those cultures, they are quickly being wiped out by the Spaniards.
