WebAssembly has always been designed around highly constrained environments. So the binary file that would be this sort of compiled chunk of WebAssembly would be pretty portable. Wassy gives APIs for things like file system access, some basic networking, which is being expanded at the moment. Other things like random number generation, another sort of basic functionality like that.
