The Power of Public Space in Egypt

Egypt has never been rich with designated public space. For much of its modern history, public space was not a formal urban planning consideration. But lately, even the smallest public spaces are disappearing. It's a pattern that started over 12 years ago after tens of thousands of people occupied city centers across Egypt.
