The metaverse is an attempt to create a set of experiences in which individuals can exist as a avatar rite, a virtual representation of themselves. As they go from experience to experience, all the information about that avatar follows them along. You have this persistent virtual world that you can dip into and out of at will, and what you do in that virtual world persists. What's far more important is weather facebook is successful in building out a infra structure that permits enough creativity for other people to build on top of the metiverse. A lot of the experiences that facebook showed to me, we're not particularly compelling. And again, we're kind of cartoonish in a kind of lame way,
