Not everyone is a true believer. There are people who are in the kind of the gray area where it's not black or not or white and they can be peeled off by arguments and evidence. The fact that there is this phenomenon of tribalism that pushes against just accepting the best evidence means institutions like science have to work at constantly reestablishing their credibility.
