A recent study suggests that our brains may remain active and functioning during and after the transition to death. And we have one man to thank, right? Ye, thanks to estonian doctor raoul vicente, who was monitoring an 87 year old patient who had developed epilepsy. The elder patient a hard attack and passed away while attached to the e e g. So this was really the first time that scientists were able to capture the brain activity of a person during their death.
