Alphabet's a Miss on Revenue, $76.1 Billion Versus $76.5, Which Was Expected
Alphabet reported a miss on revenue of $76.1 billion, which was expected in terms of earnings per share for the fourth quarter. Google added about 3,000 employees in the fourth quarter; that is less than he telegraphed but they're still adding employees. YouTube ad sales were down 1.3% year-on-year to $60.4 billion -- only the second ad sales decline since going public for Google.
