There were rumors that the Japanese cherry trees along the title of the geobies had been attacked, that vandals had cut them down. I think they were a small number. And yet there was one tree that had the words carved into it to hell with those Japanese, carved into the trunk. It just demonstrates how decades, decades of anti-Asian racism, how that manifests in hatred of plants as well as insects.
