The History of the Paris Commune

The government of national defense after Sudan was formed on September 4th. They wanted to establish a republic without a king but with elected officials. But they weren't quite ready to hold elections yet during the actual war. And so that became a source of conflict. The Paris Commune arose in March of 1871, just a month and a half after the conclusion of this war. It lasted until the end of May, 1871; it had an enormous impact.
