How to Develop a Knowledge-Rich Curriculum

If I was looking at a knowledge-rich curriculum, my starting point would be what's the current state of the site? So what do we teach right now? And I think taking time to invest in an order of the current curriculum. The best way is to start up with a big idea - Wiggins and the Tiger has a really good one. It took me ages to realise why the big idea was worth it. There's something we want kids to get out of this particular unit that's expressed by the big idea. That can just be even from the topic level, like what roughly, what's the name of the topic of ancient Rome?
