We're sick and tired of witnessing with our own eyes the rising crime on New York City streets inside of New York City subways. And it's also in other parts of the state. We are not going to just look away. This happened in the 80s where elected officials in New York City told us it's all perception. There's nothing to see here move along. It wasn't until 1993 when New Yorkers of all stripes, Republicans, Democrats and independents were so fed up that they said enough. As New Yorkers, they all united.
