The Impact of Ransom Payments on Cyber Security

SpaceX N1 could be a game changer in quite a few spaces. It does change coverage in New Zealand, but initially it's only texting and maybe some early types of voice. The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet website is making it clear that government agencies should not be paying ransom. And I do wonder whether, you know, how far away are we from say a New Zealand entity that pays a ransom, then getting hit because they've broken sanctions due to North Korea or Russia?
