New York City's Chaos Broke Out After a Popular Social Media Streamer Promoted a Giveaway

Chaos erupted in Manhattan's Union Square Park as a large rowdy crowd gathered for a free giveaway by a social media influencer. Thousands descended on the park after popular Twitch star Kai Sinat who has millions of followers online promised free play stations to his fans. Some in the crowd started throwing objects at the police from a nearby construction site forcing the NYPD to call in its highest level of mobilization. There are reports that several officers were injured as some nearby businesses had to evacuate their stores. We understand that Sinat did not have a permit for the event and is currently being questioned by authorities.
