Expedia Public, We're Going to Spin Out of Microsoft

I was working for Ballmer when we spun out to their credit. I got really great people, established a network of incredible people who were entrepreneurial and only minded because they loved Expedia. And so I took 150 people out of the hottest company in the world to work out where they already had stock options. Within a year, we were twice the size of the number two guy. So how do you look at this as your baby, which is now off on its own and what's your involvement set? With pride. It's like the kid that went to college and now he's married and he's got a happy family. And the family's growing up.
