The Importance of Education in the United States
I would forgive up to $50,000 for folks making under a certain amount. And I would invoke the Higher Education Act to do it. What other country in the world makes people go into tens of thousands of dollars of debt to get an education? I don't know a single developed country that does that. Even if you're not moved by the whole empathetic argument and all of this, there is still the financial or economic argument.
