Bentham's Utilitarianism

With some possible actions like torture, many people believe there is an absolute prohibition on torture. Could Sidgwick cope with that sort of case? I think Sidgwick would cope with that case in a way that has been rather controversial. It may be right to do something only if the fact that you do it can be kept secret.
