Is It Hard to Write a Crime Drama?

i knew i was going to be writing three books, and i knew where they were going to take me. Every character in this book has an analogous character in the iliad, the odyssey, the aeneid, greek tragic drama, methia. I think that readers can read it without any knowledge of that at all, or interest in it. But if they do have an interest in it, i think it's sort of a value added kind of element. Now, we really have a romanticism of gangsters. And why? Wht? What's your opinion on why we loved the gangster? Jon rose, wehad not thought a lot about it.
