How Do You Lead People When You're the Least Competent?
If you can't lead yourself, or if you don't know what you're doing, how can you tell others what they should be doing? So just kind of those two things, yes, i think it's really important. I was a junior officer when i first arrived on the submarine. And so there was definitely pressure to become valuable to the team. A mentorship goes both ways. You can be mentord by your subordinates, as you should to your subordinates. Yes, big nugget right there. People, if you're listening in mentor ship goes both way, absolutely.
