Many scientific endeavours start with a transcendent moment, or a moment of a revelatory day dream. And i think that's one of things, starting point is the starting point. Once you start realizing there is a thing of beauty, and when you find out about why you are getting this display of light, you still have the beauty in its entirety. You can go into certain priestly places and there is some one there who holds the ultimate knowledge.
