The Democratic Platform of 19 68 in the Democratic National Convention in Chicago
I knew nothing about the democratic platform of 19 68 until i read your book. It was completely overshadowed by the vianom war, by the split in the party over the war. The last democrat to carry the south wath jimmy carter in 19 76. Now now there's a white man's party, a majority of whites have voted a republican for the last 50 years. And then there's the party of everybody else, the democrats. I think the democrats do best when they promote universal programms that the large majorit of americans can benefit from.
