Southeast is very tribal. They sang Southeast is my hometown, you know, they're like that kind of friendship. So bringing in black kids and sending their own kids out of the village to go to school was a major threat to their way. In an interview one Southeast resident warned what was coming. We may be guilty, but we will fight you. "We might go out in the back here and fight and I might tear your eyes out"
