ITC's Performance in the Cigarette Industry
Despite diversifying into non tobacco businesses for over 50 years now, cigarettes still contribute 75% of ITC's profit and over a third of its stop line. Despite being a conglomerate, ITC's bottom line is still essentially shaped by cigarettes. When you compare ITC's cigarette performance compared to other cigarette companies globally, they don't have an edge. They are not outperforming anybody on any parameter.
