The NBA's Statement on the 25 Games Suspended in Gilbert Arena

This was about what I expected in terms of the number of games. And the players union statement about it being excessive, inappropriate. But if you look back even under David Stern, Steven Jackson got seven games for firing a gun outside a strip club. Raymond Felton got four games for holding an unlicensed firearm in a confrontation with his ex-wife. Why is it 25 games here? There are probably reasonable answers to that. It could be the era of video. These things are caught on video and that changes the whole game.
