Mother Jones's Speeches on Child Labor
One of the pivotal moments in the fight to end child labor was the so called march of the mill children in 19 o three, which was led by mother jones. Unions over the years have fought for legislation to protect workers on the job, but also to protect the living conditions and living standards of working people. A these strikes put a lot on the line for workers. They did a sacrifice quite a bit to insure that there wasa work place protections, not only for children, but for workers over all.
