No one knew what was going to happen. Would the population rise up? Would' the government fall? Would war weariness? Or would the economy literally collapse? And there had been a very effective bombng against the dutch, the dutch ansto have bowed out a world or two after about two days. It did seem, i meanhat that the british public really were scared by that. You know, th there was genuine panic in britain at the fact that, you know, these bombers were coming over.
