What Are the Trade Networks of the Inca?
There wasn't a money system and there weren't definite markets. What the inca were doing though, was to involve lot of people in redistribution of produce. The most marked example of that is what were called colkas - large storage buildings they brought produce into. But beyond that, there was definitely barter and exchange going on.
