The Role of Physical Dominance in the NFL Draft

Jalen Carter is the best defensive tackle in the class. He has great physical gifts, but it's not a body type and an athletic profile that you get to draft every single year. It does not get better in terms of expecting him to succeed immediately at the NFL level than a prospect like Jalen Carter. The Eagles got that player at nine. You just don't usually have to take that player at two or three or four and the Eagles took that player at 9. So an enormous win.
