Rosa Parks in Florida

In an effort to comply with Florida's Stop, Wolk Act, a textbook publisher found in over 40,000 schools remove references about the race of civil rights icon Rosa Parks. The New York Times put this on blast and made it a story. As a result, the Florida Department of Education indicated that it would be impossible to teach about the significance of Rosa Parks without including her race.
