The Importance of Forecasting Interest Rates

In 2014, 72 at a 72 economist predicted US rates would rise. The data point I got from a big picture, the blog, but I've also come across empirical evidence that is suggesting or that measured that with forecasting of interest rates, it's actually less than 50% correct. In an investment committee, I recommend avoiding this discussion as to will they turn next month or for good in many parts of the world.
