No massive particle can move faster than a photon. It's basic physics. So I'm sorry, Luke, you're not going to be able to jet around the galaxy in the kind of time your plots require. You can't get there. There's no such thing as jumps to light speed or better warp drives. The impossible is that which is impossible because it is internally inconsistent.
