Ron DeSantis appeared to downplay the January 6 Capitol attack in an interview with Russell Brand. Former vice president Mike Pence, another 2024 White House hopeful, also weighed in on the January 6 attack over the weekend. The Republicans are in a conundrum where they can't bring themselves to attack Trump because they'd risk losing his followers and therefore nothing happens except his lead gross.
