How Did People Learn to Dance?

We saw a lot of dance scenes last series. I'm sure we can expect to be taken inside the ball rooms again in the new series too. And i wanted to ask perhaps a basic question about this period. How did people learn to dance? In bridgeton, we have our own dancing master, jack murphy,. who's the choreographer and responsible for all these amazing dance scenes mthat we we see it on a screen. But e yes, regency families would have had er dancing lessons from a young age.
