The History of Wire Tapping in the Civil War
In the nineteenth century, a wire tapping becomes a sort of military art in the age of a civil war. A british armed forces pick up on this technique and begin using wire tapping in colonial military campaigns. Thebr forces, it turns out, didn't call wire tapping wire tapping. They actually called it wire milking. Wire tappers in the british service were known as milkmen.
