Sherlock holmes visited the pawnbroker's in saxkoburg square. He sat with his eyes closed and his black clay pipe thrusting out like the bill of some strange bird. Holmes asked to smoke but was told he had a 'three pipe problem' The detective then walked up to the door, knocked and went inside. Sherlock later wrote: "Your commonplace featureless crimes are really puzzling"
