The Three Sons of Ku
Wesley Libesay is the creator of the History of the Great War podcast. He tells the story of a Chinese king who tried to decide which of his sons would rule after him. The oracle opically stated that they all would, and like the daily newspaper horoscope, it's vague enough to end up being sort of true-ish. Emperor Ku snubbed his eldest son, Zhe, and named little brother Yao to be a successor. But its elder brother Jid seized power and declared himself emperor thank you very much.
