The President's War on Mosul
The Pentagon will tell you that the reason is because fighting is intensifying. They're moving in a West Mosul now, they've already taken East Mosul which was not as populated but now West Mosul is an urban center. ISIS is dug in. There are a lot of people there. The Iraqi government told civilians there to harbor in place instead of fleeing. So you have people in these cities. I mean it's been fascinating and challenging to square what the message was that this president ran on with this military action.
