Conscientious Objectors and the Second World War
World War II today is often seen as this moral crusade against fascism. Where do conscientious objectors fit into that picture? That's a good question and in many ways that's why I started this project intrigued by these people who stood up for things but refused to fight the Nazis. In 1939 Britain and the rest of the country did not go to war to end the Holocaust although they were committed to defeating fascism.
