The Importance of Open Questions
I think you're going to see a lot of people in power pass laws like that if they're allowed to at the local level because no one wants mean things said about them. I'm not talking about like slavery is not an open question, right? Because some dogmatic, some policy positions are just simply settled and we don't need to revisit them. And part of the argument for doing that is that people will only behave responsibility if they actually have to deal with real responsibilities. Like they need to be held accountable for their decisions. Totally. It's why you give your kids jobs. Yes, done. Push it all down.
