Mrs. Fisher's Anger
Mrs. Wilkins and Rose Arbethnot were invited to stay in Mrs. Fisher's sitting-room. The two women found it hard to accept that they could not sit there at the same time. They argued over why this was so, but eventually agreed on a compromise. But when Mr. Fisher returned from his tour of San Salvador he had left them with no choice but to leave their hotel room together.
