Is the European Union Better at Regulating Data Practices?
I have the impression that the European Union has been better at regulating some of these companies than, well, virtually anyone else. The EU is such a big kind of cluster of nations that I think they get a lot of attention and kind of positive response for taking more hard line actions against these kind of data practices. So in the US, we have some patchy state laws. California has more stringent data broker laws than other states.
