The Problem With Industrial Control Systems
Industrial control systems were built in the 70s they weren't really built to be secure. The business likes money so if you tell them that you're going to have to bring a system down, it's not going to make any money. Downtime is very difficult like sometimes they don't even have patches for it because it's not supported. A russian government linked hacking group called midnight blizzard or abt 29 has been identified as behind a campaign to steal login credentials by engaging users in mikersoft chats pretending to be technical support.
