The Uncertainty of Decision Making

Mike Downey: It's a real challenge to make good decisions in the face of uncertainty. We get some little bit of experience and our imagination fills in the rest with what we expect to be there, with what we're familiar with. The danger as a trader and an investor is that we'll hear something or see something and fill in all sorts of stuff that we really ought to have taken a little more time to see whether that's the fill in that works for us.
