Is There a Need for It?
Both the men's and Academy buildings are of similar design. The women's building is a holdover from what Chelsea used to train in. It takes an eternity to get anything approved at Stamford Bridge. Every installation permanent installation on site has to go through rounds of approval. We know it's a world-class facility for world-class players, but after 20 years, after 25 years, that's a long lifespan for any club's training centre. If you look at photos and if you've been here five years, Tottenham's new Leicester stadium is really impressive because it's brand new. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out over the next year or two as we move into 2015
