This month marked the 75th anniversary of the founding of Britain's National Health Service. Matt Elton put some of your questions on the history of the NHS to historian Andrew Seton. He says there was healthcare before the NHS, but in many ways it built on what had already existed. The two types of hospitals that you'd find in the 1920s and the 1930s would be municipal hospitals and voluntary hospitals.
