Introduction

The first weekend of July brought severe thunderstorms to the Metro St. Louis area, taking out power and interrupting internet service across the region. The weather conditions also created dangerous situations for people on roads and in their homes. And tragically, two people lost their lives. In each case, people nearby, ranging from business owners and other people in the area, to family and nearby neighbors, all called 911 for help that did not arrive in time. Sebastian Montes was a nearby neighbor who was among many people who called 911 to try to help Catherine Cone.
