I think it really matters that people understand why they get paid the way they get paidand why did i get five % rays and not two % rays? Think the right comparison is a little bit when we grad students, we can be completely transparent about where the grades come from. And yet, at the same time, we cannot share with every one who did well, who didn't do so well. I would love to live in a world where every company had this nuanced and sophisticated ability to justify all their compensation without going to full salary transparency. But i don't know if that's realistic.
