The Fed Is Missing a Trick to the Employment and Jobs Number
There's a trick to this employment and jobs number that I think which the Fed is missing. During the pandemic, what you saw were a lot of companies buying ads on Indeed,. et cetera, those websites for job postings. And they were posting a lot more jobs that they really needed in anticipation of potentially losing staff because of the pandemic. Those are annual contracts and those contracts are rolling off. They're not likely to be buying the same size of ads that they did in the past. The Joel state is going to go down. With that, we'll get a little bit more realistic employment number.
