Is There a Double Crash Mechanism in Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
Michael Leahy is of the belief that a lot of carpal tunnels, cases are being misdiagnosed for a pronator, entrapment, higher up. We know that with a double crash mechanism, you can get a spread of pathophysiology along the nerve and it can be vulnerable in another area. The research on that's been a bit sketchy until recently, where they've actually been able to reproduce it in an animal model. So advice here, taken from what you're saying, Brett, palpate the median of the elbow with pronator because it could be part of the same thing.
